Paula Zammit has a BFA from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and has exhibited in galleries nationally. In 2014, she was selected to complete a residency at the Red Bull House of Art in Detroit. Zammit works in multiple mediums; like a musician who enjoys crossing over to different genres, Zammit works in oil as well as the ancient wax-based medium of encaustic. Here, she embraces the abstract, with organic forms dominating the work. Aside from a handful of years in St. Louis, she is a life-long Detroit-area resident and immersed in the rebuilding of the North Corktown neighborhood. She is a member of Corktown Studios in Detroit along with eight fellow artists.
