Austen Brantley Sculpture Installed at The Legacy Museum in Montgomery, Alabama

The sculpture, entitled “Power in struggle” is made of bronze and has been permanently installed in the Legacy Museum in Montgomery, Alabama in the Freedom Monument Sculpture Park. The unveiling will take place later this year. Brantley was commissioned by the Equal Justice Initiative.

Overlooking the Alabama River, Freedom Monument Sculpture Park honors the lives and memories of the 10 million Black people who were enslaved in America and celebrates their courage and resilience.
