Rashaun Rucker's Work Featured in "In the Air: Voices From Detroit and Beyond"

The James Pearson Duffy Department of Art and Art History is pleased to present IN THE AIR: VOICES FROM DETROIT AND BEYOND, September 2020 through April 2021. The series includes works created by local and national artists in response to the global pandemic and racial injustice, featured on a billboard, located at the corner of S. Woodward and E. Canfield, Detroit. A total of eight solo-presentations, each one month in duration, will be on view beginning September 15, 2020.

Works by the following artists will be included in the exhibition series: Chloë Bass, Tyanna J. Buie, jessica Care moore, Jefferson Pinder, Rashaun Rucker, Darryl DeAngelo Terrell, Jina Valentine, and Peter Williams.

IN THE AIR: VOICES FROM DETROIT AND BEYOND features the third billboard installation with artwork created by Rashaun Rucker, on view November 3 through 28, 2020. To accompany the piece, an online artist talk will be on Thursday, November 12, 12-1pm. This programming has been made possible with the support of Kresge Arts in Detroit, in partnership with the Department of Art and Art History.
